The Edward R. Murrow award is radio's equivalent of the WTOP Radio has won five coveted National Edward R. Murrow Awards, including "Overall Excellence." It is the most in WTOP history and more than any other radio or television station in this year's competition. The awards this year: "This is a big credit to WTOP News Director Mike McMearty and the entire WTOP Newsroom," says Jim Farley, WTOP's Vice President of News & Programming. Murrow Award winners are chosen by The Radio-Television News Directors Association. ___________________ Hi Everybody! Thanks for checking my website. It's an audio blog called "Core Values" and it’s heard every weekday at "Chris, will you ever do a show again?" Actually, I do, and it’s on TV. It’s called "Weekend News With Chris Core" and it’s an interview show about politics, money, and whatever else is in the news. I have had some big name guests on including Michael Steele, Cal Thomas and Bob Beckel, Clarence Page and other government and media types. The show is seen on DC50 Television, or as many of you know it, The CW. People often ask where that channel is on their cable system.
